By now, regular readers have heard of the Mythspace launch on Friday, November 14, at the Bayanihan Center, at 4:30 pm. The launch is part of a series of events taking place at the Bayanihan Center leading up to the Komikon -- the Philippine International Literary Festival, Aklatan, and the Filipino Readercon. I've uploaded schedules for the events in the images in this post. The PILF is from 8AM-6PM at the Bayanihan Center from Novermber 12-14, with the Aklatan (a book fair for Philippine-published books) happening at the same time, and the Readercon taking over the last day of the PILF, the 14th, and extending to book discussions happening the next day, at the Komikon.
Mythspace will launch on Friday, the day of the Readercon, and it will also be available a the Komikon. It should also be available at Aklatan even before the launch, so if you can't make it on the 14th -- bit do try! -- you can drop by Wednesday or Thursday.
Salimbal members will also be involved in other activities aside from the Mythspace launch. Paolo Chikiamco will be one of the reactors to the Plenary talk on the 12th, will be taking part in the contract consultations on the 13th, and will be part of the Fan Fiction panel on the 14th, Elbert Or will be speaking on the Rise of Graphic Novels on the 13th. Mervin Malonzo will be part of the Authors-as-Readers panel on the 14th, and launching Tabi Po vol. 2 that same day. You can see the exact times in the schedules I uploaded.
